We have a full-time permanent Signal Fault Coordinator position available. This opportunity is based in the Rail Management Centre (RMC) at Bowen Hills.

  • Salary - $113,602 plus shift and penalty rates apply plus 12.75% Superannuation
  • 5-week rotating roster of 12-hour shifts, including Weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Strong focus on safety – we ‘work safe’ every day to ensure everyone goes ‘home safe’
  • 24/7-365 day operational role working with an experienced, supportive small tight knit team

About the role:
Reporting to the Coordinator Operational Systems and working in a team of five, you will monitor and maintain the integrity of the Railway Signalling system. You will also;

  • Ensure safe and reliable operation, identifying faults and irregularities and coordinating Corrective maintenance and fault repair work.
  • Ensuring proactive response and effective coordination and/or rectification to system faults
  • Provide detailed technical advice to field staff in relation to signalling equipment to ensure efficient fault rectification.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the operational control equipment at Mayne Control Centre is performed in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
  • A Minimum of 10 years’ Experience in the Railway Signalling industry is Desirable

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have the following:

  • Great Communication and Organisational skills and a Positive, self-motivated outlook.
  • Proactive approach to investigating Rail Signalling Systems and Equipment faults
  • Hold the following preemployment qualifications: Current Queensland electrical licence, a Class C drivers’ licence , Certificate IV Electrical Railway Signalling
