Purpose
The purpose of this position is to conduct activities related to component fatigue testing on test benches for Powertrain products
Responsibilities
Component Testing
Execution of assigned test , monitoring, documentation and release of test protocol as per Trial order from respective domain test engineer
Release domain specific test protocol
Calibration And Maintenance
Organize calibration of test bench and auxiliary sensors as per per-defined guideline. Liaison with contracted agencies and organizes preventive or breakdown maintenance of test rig as necessary and ensures availability of test rig
Bench AMC/PMI/Breakdown/Sensors Calibration reports
Safety/EHS
Cooperation & participates in the definition of new safety concepts related to test rig/Testing; support new/modified Equipment release
Release of test bench meeting Lead development and Safety requirements Stock Keeping & Test Sample
Management and improvements
Plan spare parts & consumables, stock-keeping of adequate parts, test sample management
Bench availability for projects, Machine utilization, FPY
Ensure utilization of 5S, efficiency improvement ideas, quality
CIP and DLZ improvement ideas
Education
Bachelor degree in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile [Desirable]
Experience
1-2 yrs. of experience in the field materials Engineering and materials processing technologies.
Exposure in R&D is desirable
Knowledge
Strong theoretical foundation in mechanics, materials and their manufacturing processes
Basics of Powertrain Products and principles of Product Testing
Basic understanding on Engine & Vehicle layout, ECU Control Software, reliability fundamentals (PE001 or Equivalent) (TQ007 or Equivalent)
Competent in operating principles & construction of test bench, sensors, transducers and data acquisition system, and safety regulations
Basic understanding of fuel, lubrication media, hydraulics
Functional Skills
Competent in selection of - fixture, mounting equipment's, sensors as per recommendation
Advance in communication skills, problem solving skill
Competent in operating digital interfaces to machine
