Job Description

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a FATCA/CRS, Manager, you will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of the FATCA and CRS compliance program across Vancity and VCIB. You will ensure regulatory requirements are accurately interpreted, embedded into controls and processes, and supported through effective oversight and reporting practices. This role partners closely with business, operations, and control functions to strengthen compliance with tax transparency obligations while identifying, assessing, and addressing risks, issues, and emerging regulatory changes. We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented compliance professional with strong subject matter expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Regulatory Compliance Oversight While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Leading the design and oversight of the FATCA and CRS compliance program across Vancity and VCIB
  • Providing subject matter expertise on FATCA and CRS requirements and translating obligations into clear control expectations
  • Overseeing compliance framework elements including control standards, documentation practices, and oversight routines
  • Assessing effectiveness of processes and controls supporting tax reporting obligations and recommending improvements
  • Supporting and overseeing regulatory reporting activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
  • Identifying, assessing, and escalating material risks, deficiencies, and emerging issues related to FATCA/CRS obligations
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to support consistent implementation, issue resolution, and regulatory updates

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, tax reporting, audit, or risk management within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulatory requirements and tax transparency obligations
  • Experience designing or overseeing compliance programs, frameworks, or controls
  • Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience working with regulatory reporting, controls testing, or compliance oversight activities

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Professional designation such as CPA or similar
  • Experience working with international tax reporting frameworks or regulatory change initiatives
  • Familiarity with compliance technology tools or data analysis for regulatory reporting

What You’ll Earn:
The salary band for this role is CG1 Level E Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
