Fashion Sales Associate (Tailor & Stylist)

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary: ₦150,000 Net Monthly

We are seeking a passionate, customer-focused, and style-conscious Fashion Sales Associate with strong tailoring and styling expertise to join our dynamic fashion retail team in Lekki, Lagos.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store customer experience, providing personalized fashion and styling recommendations, supporting fittings and tailoring consultations, and driving sales performance. The role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, fashion trends, customer engagement, and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Welcome and attend to customers professionally, ensuring a premium shopping experience.
• 
  Provide personalized fashion styling recommendations based on customer preferences, body type, and occasions.
• 
  Assist customers with outfit selection, garment coordination, and wardrobe styling.
• 
  Conduct basic tailoring consultations, measurements, fittings, and alteration recommendations.
• 
  Guide customers on fabric choices, garment fit, and finishing details.
• 
  Drive sales through effective product knowledge, upselling, and relationship management.
• 
  Process sales transactions accurately using the store's POS system.
• 
  Maintain excellent visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
• 
  Ensure the showroom and fitting areas remain clean, organized, and customer-ready at all times.
• 
  Follow up with customers regarding fittings, alterations, and order completion.
• 
  Support inventory management, stock arrangement, and replenishment activities.
• 
  Stay updated on current fashion trends, styling techniques, and customer preferences.
• 
  Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• 
  Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales and operational targets.
• 
  Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 
  Minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience in fashion retail sales, styling, or related roles.
• 
  Proven tailoring experience with knowledge of fittings, garment adjustments, and measurements.
• 
  Strong fashion sense with a good understanding of current fashion and styling trends.
• 
  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• 
  Ability to confidently engage customers and close sales effectively.
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 
  Professional appearance and presentation.
• 
  Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• 
  Basic knowledge of retail operations and POS systems is an added advantage.
• 
  Prior experience in a fashion house, boutique, or luxury retail environment is highly preferred.
