
The Fashion Designer is responsible for delivering creative projects that are consistent with the Brand Identity, through the following proposals: Conceptual inspiration, color trends, material proposals, silhouettes, details.
He/she shares his/her choices with the Head of Design, PM and Collection Coordinator.
The core responsibilities of the role are:
Education & Experience
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or an equivalent academic qualification. Master degree in Fashion design is a plus.
Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience in similar roles (e.g., design Office Assistant, fashion designer assistant, Fashion designer) with Luxury or Contemporary brands.
Hard Skills & Technical Expertise
Research: advanced ability to carry out in-depth, culturally sophisticated research, exploring the worlds of fashion, design, art and other artistic and lifestyle fields
Passion for Fashion: A good knowledge of the fashion world, brands and the fashion industry, and the ability to pick up key trends and interpret them in line with the brand’s needs and DNA
Sketches/design proposals: adavanced skills in sketching by hand or by digital tools.
Design & Graphics: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, procreate).
Technical Knowledge: design development (specifically on Womenswear RTW Total Look), including strong knowledge in design development processes, materials research, graphic/print design, finish and embellishment.
Garment prototyping: Good knowledge in garment construction and prototyping on a mannequin using moulage and draping techniques or traditional methods.
This skill is not an essential requirement, but a valuable plus.
Soft Skills & Mindset
Organization : Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while strictly adhering to deadlines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of bridging the gap between Art Direction and Coordination team.
Languages:
Fluent italian (written and spoken)
Fluent English (written and spoken) is important, to effectively manage international collaborations and suppliers.
