Job Description

A well-established produce grower/shipper/packer is searching for a Farm Manager to join their team. The Farm Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the growing, planting, and harvesting processes, ensuring proper management of planting, weed control, pest control, fertilization, irrigation, and monitoring activities. This role involves coordinating with supervisors on weekly and monthly activities, conducting training sessions, and providing detailed daily reports on farm operations. The Farm Manager is also responsible for maintaining compliance with safety regulations, managing paperwork, and overseeing the performance of direct reports

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with supervisor all weekly and monthly activities.
  • Work with employees to coordinate daily and weekly activities.
  • Conduct monthly training sessions in coordination with supervisor.
  • Accurately assess employee’s performance requiring evaluation as assigned.
  • Supervise and correct all processes in planting, weed control, pest control, fertilizations, irrigation, monitoring and miscellaneous activities.
  • Provide a daily report of irrigation, pest management, nutrient deficiencies and daily activities.
  • Responsible for keeping all paperwork in order in a daily basis.
  • Responsible to maintain and correct all the safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • B.S in agriculture or related area.
  • 5+ years’ experience in agriculture and operating farm machinery.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively as to prepare daily written reports and other administrative paperwork and email correspondence.
  • Should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Exchange
  • Strong leader with proven results and knowledge on soil management, fertilization, weeds control, and IPM.
  • Must have a valid driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Salary: 120-140K, Medical Benefits, 401K, Relocation Assistance
