About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Strategy and Operations Lead who serves as a strategic advisor and force multiplier to the Fargo Product Executive, driving organizational effectiveness across product strategy, portfolio governance, operating rhythms, executive communications, and cross-functional execution. This role helps translate Fargo's vision into actionable priorities while ensuring alignment across Product Management, Product Delivery, Agent Experience & Development, Technology, AI/Model teams, Risk, Compliance, and Analytics.

Fargo is Wells Fargo's AI-powered digital banking assistant and one of the company's flagship customer experiences, delivering personalized guidance, proactive insights, and self-service capabilities to millions of customers. This role helps shape the strategy, operating model, and execution of one of the bank's most visible AI-powered platforms.

The role acts as the connective tissue across the Fargo organization, enabling leadership teams to operate at scale, accelerate decision-making, and improve execution against Fargo's key objectives of customer engagement, interaction growth, and call reduction.

This position combines elements of business management, strategy, portfolio management, communications, organizational effectiveness, and executive advisory responsibilities.

In this role, you will:

Strategic Planning & Portfolio Governance

  • Partner with the Fargo leadership team to define annual, quarterly, and long-term strategic priorities.
  • Lead portfolio governance processes across product initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.
  • Establish and monitor organizational OKRs, KPIs, and performance measures.
  • Drive executive-level prioritization discussions across competing initiatives.
  • Develop frameworks to evaluate strategic opportunities, risks, and investment decisions.
  • Coordinate planning cycles, roadmaps, and business reviews.

Executive Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Fargo Product Executive.
  • Anticipate organizational challenges and proactively develop recommendations.
  • Prepare decision materials, executive briefings, and recommendation packages.
  • Conduct strategic analysis to support leadership decisions.
  • Manage follow-up and accountability for executive commitments.

Organizational Operating Model

  • Design and manage leadership operating rhythms.
  • Oversee leadership meetings, business reviews, planning sessions, and all-hands events.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Improve decision-making processes and escalation paths.
  • Establish governance structures that reduce friction and improve execution.

Executive Communications

  • Develop executive presentations for senior leadership, operating committees, and management reviews.
  • Manage organizational narratives around strategy, organizational changes, and key initiatives.
  • Draft communications, talking points, executive summaries, and leadership updates.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across Fargo and partner organizations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate efforts across Product, Technology, AI/Model Development, Design, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Analytics.
  • Manage executive-level dependencies and issue resolution.
  • Lead special projects and transformational initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment across teams working on Fargo's strategic roadmap.

Business Performance Management

  • Establish executive dashboards and performance reporting.
  • Monitor product, customer, operational, and financial metrics.
  • Drive accountability against strategic goals.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Artificial Intelligence Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, digital banking, AI, or technology, with expertise in strategy, digital product management, portfolio governance, KPI development, business case creation, and executive-level decision support.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic leadership experience.
  • Experience with portfolio management and investment governance.
  • Experience working with AI/GenAI products and technology transformation programs.
  • Consulting background (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) or equivalent internal strategy experience.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
