Job Description

Position: Material Handler II
Fantapak, an Inteplast Group Company, is a 31 year old, leading supplier of poly bags and other packaging materials to distributors in the Industrial, Foodservice, and Agricultural markets nationwide. We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the Material Handler II position in our Livonia, MI headquarters.
Position Objective:
This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Comply with all Fantapak policies, work rules, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and skill development in the warehouse. Ship all order received from the Warehouse Manager. Receive and store all incoming goods in an orderly fashion. Work efficiently, with or without direct supervision. Supervise temporary labor employees in their duties. Maintain a clean and organized storage of products and supplies. Function as a safe and cohesive unit with all other warehouse employees.

This position is responsible for the complying with all regulations under the Fantapak safety program. Be an active participant in programs such as the safety team, 5S, etc. Aid the Warehouse and Operations Manager in maintaining low costs by utilizing supplies and tools efficiently. Report to the Warehouse Manager on operational and safety issues. Communicate with customers entering our facility and assist in providing exceptional service. Be consistently available throughout the work day for any needs that may arise.

Duties:
• Create custom product labels per customer request
• Complete BOLs
• Print shipping pallet labels
• Work with safety team members on projects for the safety program
• Interface with office staff on orders, supplies, and software
• Investigate stock discrepancies
• Pull orders
• Check pulled orders by warehouse employees
• Unload containers
• Ship parcel packages through FedEx or UPS
• Manage facility cleanliness
• Complete cycle counts as directed by management
• Equipment safety checks completed before use
• Facility security & capacity checks

Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Basic typing skills
• Basic computer literacy
Skills/Qualifications:
• Shall be able to exhibit a physical competency in handling lifting of 50 lbs. and other strenuous activities associated with this position
• Good health, physical stamina, fitness, and vitality
• Personal qualities associated with good human and interpersonal relations
