Casual | Karratha, WA | SCHADS Award – Level 3
Every day, women, children and young people arrive at the Karratha Women and Children’s Centre seeking safety, stability and hope. Your presence helps transform crisis into possibility. You offer warmth at first contact, practical support during vulnerable moments and encouragement as clients work toward safety and wellbeing. You help create an environment where people feel safe, valued and empowered. Small moments of support can make a lasting difference, and your contribution becomes part of someone’s journey toward healing and stability.
The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Stream is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Support Worker to join the Karratha Women and Children’s Centre. KWCC provides crisis accommodation and case management support to women, children and young people experiencing family and domestic violence and other crises.
This position offers a mix of day, afternoon and waking night shifts. You will support clients across different parts of the service. You will help create a safe, welcoming and empowering environment by supporting clients to work toward case plan goals. You will assist with daily operations and ensure the centre runs smoothly. Responsibilities include phone and reception support, preparing units for new intakes, facilitating activities, maintaining accurate client records and providing practical assistance to women, children and young people accessing the service.
This casual role pays in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award.
