A bit about the Service

Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service (ECFS) offers support to children aged 0-5 years old and their families. The support is provided through group sessions, parenting programs and through home visiting. The service works in partnership with families and other key organisations and provides group activity sessions which cover a variety of topics such as parenting, improving mental health and keeping a child safe.

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic forward thinker, confident in leading and bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to the role.

  • Working in partnership with other agencies to keep children and young people at the centre of our work.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Listening to children, young people, and families.
  • Managing your own administration and updating systems.

Let's talk about you.

  • Diploma Level 2 or equivalent in Early Years or relevant study area.
  • Experience of working in a Health, Early Years or Social Care Setting.
  • Experience of undertaking assessments, planning, and delivering both group and 1-1 interventions and case recording.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to use IT systems.
  • Compassion and dedication to our cause – keeping children and young people safe and happy.
  • Access to a suitable method of transport to enable the duties of the role to be carried out (essential).

Why Action for Children?

Every child should have a loving home, food, warmth, the chance to grow and learn - the support to cope with life’s challenges. But too many children don’t.

By bringing your passion and unique skills and experience, you’ll help us create change that really matters. And when we succeed, we’ll recognise what you did to make a difference.

We've been driven by love to take action for children for over 150 years, giving them the protection and practical help they need. A lot’s changed since 1869. But what children really need, hasn’t. So as long as children need us, we’ll be here.
