
Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is a national nonprofit that provides community-based alternatives to youth incarceration and residential placement. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, YAP partners with youth justice, child welfare, behavioral health, and education systems to deliver individualized, wraparound services that keep youth safely in their homes and communities.
YAP’s model focuses on building strong relationships with youth and families, connecting them to local resources, and supporting positive life outcomes through strength-based, culturally responsive approaches. Advocates work directly in the community to help participants develop skills, meet goals, and strengthen family and community connections.
Status Part- Time Hourly
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
of Position: Family Support Workers will provide and coordinate services for children and families as guided by Individualized Service Plans (ISP). They will adhere to the YAP wraparound advocacy model of service with the integration of interventions deemed appropriate by the ISP and maintain fidelity to both YAP’s model and the interventions selected for each family. Family Support Workers will carry a caseload of no more than six (6) families each. They will report to the Supervisor and Program Director.
