Job Description

Salary range: £42,060 - £44,685 p.a. inc. London weighting

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

We are looking for self-motivated and committed practitioner to join our team of experienced Family Support workers and Social Workers.

The Post

We are looking for a flexible, creative individual who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people who require Early Help intervention. You will be committed to providing the highest quality services for our children and young people while also achieving best value for the department.

Candidates should have experience of direct with children and parents. You will be required to take part in a duty rota, undertake comprehensive assessments and develop strong appropriate relationships with families to facilitate change. To plan and arrange ‘Team around the Family’ meetings and reviews as necessary.

You will understand and embrace the Brent Practice Framework and be required to develop and implement innovative services for children by developing outcome-focussed plans. You will hold an Enhanced DBS disclosure record and be required to attend training where necessary.

The Person

The successful candidate will be able to evaluate risk of harm and report and concerns for children to their line managers. They will establish constructive working relationships with staff in the child’s professional network, Children and Young People’s Services and partner agencies. You will have the confidence and ability to work constructively with your team and take part in group supervision and team meetings.
