Family Solicitor / Consultant
Location: London WC1X 8HN
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday / Friday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Hybrid - Remote (1 day in the office required)

Kamro has partnered with a boutique law firm, known for its expertise in family law, personal and business immigration, and wills and probate. They are now looking for a Family Solicitor / Consultant to take ownership of their Family Law Department, shaping its growth, bringing in clients, and developing a high-performing team.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven Family Solicitor who wants to build and lead a department, rather than just manage a caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including financial remedy proceedings and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert legal advice.
• Proactively network and develop business, generating at least 3-5 clients a month from your existing referral network and client base.
• Provide advocacy and represent clients in court as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the firm's outstanding reputation.
• Deliver clear, commercial legal solutions tailored to client needs.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in family law.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies.
• Proven ability to bill at least three times your salary.
• This role is ideal for a Solicitor with a well-established referral network, consistently bringing in 3-5 clients per month, in absence, you would need to have a proven record to convert enquiries into fee-paying clients.
• Experience in financial remedy proceedings and pre-/post-nuptial agreements.
• Candidates with legal aid experience will not be considered.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload effectively.
• Proficient in using Leap.
• Strong business development skills and a proven track record in client acquisition.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
