Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practice Physician with Obstetrics (FP/OB) to join our growing clinical team. This role provides comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and thrives in a collaborative, community-focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-spectrum family medicine care, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management
  • Deliver comprehensive obstetric care, including:
    • Prenatal care
    • Labor and delivery
    • Postpartum care
  • Manage a panel of patients across all age groups (newborns to geriatrics)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialty providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic (EHR) system
  • Participate in on-call rotation for obstetrics and family medicine services
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient engagement efforts
  • Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and clinical guidelines

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • M.D. Degree, or D.O. degree from accredited school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine
  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Family Practice
  • Current and valid Illinois license as a physician and surgeon
  • Current and valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
  • Eligible for, or maintenance of, hospital privileges at affiliated hospitals
  • Bilingual ability may or may not be required based on individual department needs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.
  • Comfort working in a medical setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise
  • Experience in working with a diverse population base preferred.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confrontation and conflict.
  • Ability to work independently and to seek consultation as necessary.
  • Ability to follow organization and departmental processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a high stress/fast paced/high work volume environment.
