Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our multidisciplinary team in
a private precision preventive medicine and integrative health clinic. The main
responsibility of this role is to provide OHIP-insured primary care medical services to all
patients enrolled in our Preventive Health Program (PHP) and Vitality & Longevity
Program (VLP).
Key Responsibilities:
• Primary Care Services: Provide comprehensive primary care to patients
enrolled in PHP and VLP, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Examinations: Conduct initial and annual physical examinations, as well as
triannual health reviews using proprietary templates and data analysis for
precision preventive medicine and integrative health.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supported by a
physician associate who is an international medical graduate.
• Patient Communication: Utilize Accuro EMR for all patient encounters and
follow up using asymmetric secure patient communication via Medeo to ensure
compliance, follow-up, and
patient satisfaction.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and support provided
by the clinical team. Develop professional skills in lifestyle medicine, including
nutrition, fitness, stress
management, sleep, and counseling for harmful
substance use such as smoking cessation and alcohol reduction.
• Reporting: Report to the Director of Patient Care Services and the Medical
Director.
Additional duties for those interested in practicing preventive health:
• Lifestyle Medicine: Develop and enhance skills in lifestyle medicine,
motivational interviewing, and Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHRT). Training
will be provided.
• Patient Recommendations: Create personalized lifestyle, medical, and
integrative health recommendations based on structured examinations, data
analysis and extensive use of templates
• Patient Follow-Up: Ensure patient compliance and satisfaction through secure
communication and follow-up processes.
Qualifications:
• Medical degree and valid license to practice in Ontario.
• Experience in primary care, with a strong interest in preventive medicine and
integrative health.
• Familiarity with Accuro EMR and Medeo communication tools is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including highly
trained professionals in exercise physiology, nutrition, naturopathic medicine,
kinesiology, sports chiropractic and more
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in lifestyle medicine,
motivational interviewing, and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
(BHRT)
Professional Development:
• Postgraduate training in lifestyle medicine, motivational interviewing, and BHRT
is encouraged and will be part of professional development.
