
JOB PURPOSE: Support caregivers who are caring for children involved with DCYF
Family Peer Support Specialists are staff who understand the New Hampshire child protection system and have experience, personal or professional, with supporting kin caregivers who are working with the Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). Family Peer Support Specialists have demonstrated their own ability to overcome adversity and achieve positive outcomes. The successful applicant will also have a strong connection and understanding of community resources to benefit families enrolled in services. Family Peer Support Specialists are trained peer professionals that work with kin who are caring for DCYF involved children in their homes.

Work Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Special Schedule: This is a full-time 40-hour-a-week position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Travel Demands: Travel is primarily local during the business day.
