Job Description

Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

* Assesses, diagnoses, and provides care to Family Practice patients.

* Obtains detailed medical history, reviews medical records, and performs appropriate physical examination.

* Orders appropriate lab work and diagnostic imaging

* Performs basic FP procedures.

* Responds to phone messages from patients and nurse triage.

* Interprets and communicates lab results.

* Partners with patients to provide individualized and appropriate care plans.

* Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care team.

* Carefully completes all required documentation in a timely fashion.

* Demonstrates the ability to be proactive, supportive, and collaborative.

* Share knowledge, promote positivity, and take personal responsibility for your professional development.

Requirements

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing care, comfort, and safety to our patients. Minnesota Women’s Care is a private patient focused practice providing personalized, state-of-the-art medical care to women of all ages. We are currently looking for an experienced nurse practitioner to join this exciting, fast-paced practice. Essential Functions and Qualifications

* Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience working as a NP in a clinical setting preferred.

* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

* Current Minnesota RN and women’s health nurse practitioner licensures and CPR certification.

* Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

* Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.

* Strong charting/documentation skills.

* Commitment to excellence and high standards

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.

* Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

* Creative, flexible, and innovative team player

The conditions we focus on include urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, cystocele, rectocele, uterine prolapse, fecal incontinence, interstitial cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI), pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain and more.
