Job Location: Lubbock Family Medicine - Lubbock, TX 79413Education
Level: 2 Year Degree

Position Summary
This position requires a driven, self-motivated candidate with a friendly and professional telephone presence and a strong organizational ability. Medical office background and medical terminology is a must.
Licensed Vocational Nurse
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Talking to multiple health facilities in order to track patients
- Training in Chronic Care Management
- Organizing patients in spreadsheets
- Chart Auditing using a rubric
- Direct patient calls to schedule patients
- Time tracking
- Documenting history; recording and reporting pertinent observations and patient reactions to staff, as appropriate
- Documenting lab procedures and ensuring follow up on results by keeping records
- Using screening procedures, including medical history review, and observing and documenting patient vital signs as required
- Verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols
- Training other technicians or other workers
- Assisting with or instituting emergency measures as needed for a crisis situation
- Performing other duties as assigned

QualificationsMinimum

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education required
- Current State Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively; ability to think critically
- Knowledge of quality control
- Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to do the same jobs correctly and meticulously daily
