Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Winston-Salem in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their family of 6, including 4 children ages 14, 16, 18, and 20 years old Two of the children are currently attending college and not living at home. The Family Assistant would be needed Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

The best Family Assistant for this family will be discreet, emotionally intelligent, calm, organized, and genuinely fulfilled by their career. It is important that the candidate take pride in providing excellent care, service, and household assistance while maintaining a respectful and professional presence in the home.

The children are largely independent and are actively involved in school, sports, and other activities outside the home. Assistance for the children includes running errands and transporting them to activities as needed. The family is seeking someone who can provide thoughtful household support, help maintain structure, and contribute to a calm, well-run home environment.

The principal is highly sensitive to perfumes, strong scents, and excessive noise, so the Family Assistant must be comfortable working in a calm, quiet, and orderly setting. A strong candidate will understand how to be present, observant, and helpful without being intrusive.

The family recently relocated to a new home and is interested in hiring someone who can help establish, implement, and maintain efficient household systems, routines, and organizational processes. The Family Assistant should be self-directed, trustworthy, proactive, and capable of working independently while respecting the family’s privacy and preferences. Confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and strong ethical judgment are essential for this role.

Household Duties:

• Laundry, ironing, and garment care

• Daily household organization and tidying

• Managing household supplies and inventory

• Grocery shopping and general errands

• Coordinating returns, deliveries, and appointments

• Light meal preparation and ingredient prep

• Assisting with pet care

• Driving children to school, activities, or appointments as needed

• Supervising and coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers

• Preparing the home for guests and family visits

• Maintaining household systems and routines

• Communicating maintenance needs and helping ensure projects are completed

• Assisting with general household flow and day-to-day operations

• Children would generally fall under the “errands and transportation” category rather than being the primary focus of the role.

Pets: The family has a 13-year-old Chihuahua who requires daily medication and a cat who benefits from regular brushing to reduce hairballs. Basic pet-related care would be appreciated as part of the position.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional House Management experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume
