Department Description

The Contract Authorizing and Analytics (CAA) team is a key component of GSK’s U.S. Market Access Operations and Analytics function. The team supports all aspects of contract analytics and development across payers, providers, and federal and state government entities. Its primary objective is to ensure patient access to GSK medicines while protecting the company from legal, financial, operational, and reputational risk. The team also provides support for government and regulatory initiatives and partners with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic insights.

We are seeking a Co-op student to join the Strategic and Government Contracting team with CAA. The selected student will gain in-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical contracting process by working in a multidisciplinary team, cross-functional collaborations and leveraging various AI tools in daily operations.

The selected candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contracting Support
    • Support daily operations related to federal, state, and regional payer contracting
    • Assist in contract creation, review, and maintenance activities
    • Maintain contract documentation, templates, and tracking tools
    • Review rebate payment/settlement packages
    • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of government programs and contracting strategies
  • Research and analysis
    • Support pricing analyses and development of business case documents for contract proposals
    • Conduct research on federal, state, and local healthcare initiatives and assess potential business impact
    • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Process improvement
    • Document current-state contracting workflows and identify gaps or inefficiencies
    • Support the development of future-state process maps to improve operational efficiency
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional workshops
    • Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis and AI tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 6 month co-op (August/September 2026 ~ March 2027)
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in healthcare contracting, government policy, or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Exposure to regulatory or compliance environments is beneficial.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Benefits

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits, Employee Assistance Program and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

  • In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.

    • Pay Rate Range: $22/hr to $43/hr
