About the Position Our IT User Experience Team is seeking a curious and motivated UX Intern with a passion for problem solving and user-centered design. In this role, you will explore and apply research-driven design methods to better understand user needs and help shape intuitive, effective digital experiences. As a UX Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the team’s UX processes, tools, and methodologies while working alongside experienced mentors and team members. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn, collaborate, and grow their skills in a supportive, real-world UX environment.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in gathering user needs through basic design research and observation methods.
  • Help document and communicate research findings and requirements to the UX team and business partners.
  • Generate ideas through sketches, wireframes, mockups, and low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Research existing design patterns and best practices to support design solutions.
  • Participate in design critiques with UX team members and incorporate feedback.
  • Assist with usability testing activities, including test preparation and note-taking.
  • Support the creation of mockups and prototypes used to communicate design intent.
  • Help prepare design assets and documentation for development handoff.
  • Work collaboratively with designers and developers to understand design constraints and tradeoffs.
  • Support and help maintain existing products and internal design systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of UX initiatives.

  • Interest in learning software development processes and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to talk through project goals, your role, and design decisions.

Requirements

  • A portfolio of student, academic, or personal projects that demonstrates design thinking and problem-solving (course projects welcome).
  • Actively enrolled in school during the time of the internship; expected graduation after December 2026.
  • Available for full-time, on-site work in Savannah from August through December 2026
  • Cumulative GPA must be listed on your resume

Education and Experience Requirements

  1. Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume.
  3. Minimum duration: 12–14 weeks (summer); 14–16 weeks (spring and fall).
  4. Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
  5. Must have reliable transportation.


This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
