Job Description

The School of Business of Stevens Institute of Technology has several openings in the Business program for adjunct instructors for the upcoming semester.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments in alignment with courseobjectivesand department standards.

  • Facilitate student learning through clear instruction, meaningful discussions, and real-world applications.

  • Evaluate and gradestudentwork ina timely, fair, and constructive manner.

  • Provide academic support through office hours or scheduled meetings.

  • Collaborate with the department chair, course coordinator, and/or faculty to ensure course consistency and quality.

  • Submit final grades and any required reports byestablisheddeadlines.

  • Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate relevant content into the course asappropriate

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Business or a closely related field is strongly preferred.

  • Prior teaching experience at the college or graduate level is preferred.

  • Strong communicationand organizational skills

  • Ability to engage and support a diverse student population.

Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time, non-tenure-track position.

  • Courses may betaughtin-person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on program needs.

  • Adjunct appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis.

Compensation Range

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the base salary range for this position is listed below. This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials.

Lecturer Equivalent $8,000

Senior Lecturer Equivalent: $9,000

Assistant Professor Equivalent: $9,000

Associate Professor Equivalent: $10,000

Professor Equivalent: $11,000

Professor Equivalent "Distinguished": $12,000
