
Key Responsibilities: Advise JPMC business leaders on matters related to SCRA, MLA and CRA, including:
Assisting in regular examinations by banking regulators
Advising on the legal implications of proposed business initiatives and transactions
Researching and analyzing federal and state regulations, guidance, and enforcement actions
Monitoring for regulatory developments and emerging trends, and communicating relevant updates to stakeholders
Collaborating with JPMC’s Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs teams to evaluate and influence public policy
Assisting with review, interpretation and implementation of policies / procedures that are either related to, or impacted by CRA, SCRA or MLA-related considerations
Collaborating with internal stakeholders on compliance and control efforts (e.g., assisting in development and delivery of related training and educational materials for internal teams)
Working with trade organizations to develop industry positions, draft comment letters in response to regulatory proposals, and interact with other industry participants
Qualifications:
Law degree and compliance with all relevant attorney licensing requirements, including requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment
A minimum of two years of working Legal experience, with significant experience in financial regulatory environments and familiarity with financial products and services being highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority issues and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Strong analytical acumen paired with superior organizational, written, and oral communication capabilities
A commitment to ethical legal practice and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while addressing emergent, ambiguous, and sometimes unprecedented legal issues
Successful completion of a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment
