Job Description

onsemi’s semiconductor fabrication facility in Hopewell Junction, NY is looking for a Failure Analysis Technician to join the team. Our technology enables the next generation of power conversion, accelerating the transition to high efficiency, high power conversion solutions and inspiring new power system architectures.

• Responsible for driving FA efforts for various aspects of compound semiconductor fab process and resulting high power products.
• Support fab tool bring up & process development by providing cross-sections and other FA efforts.
• Sample preparation and imaging consisting of cleaved cross sections, polished cross sections and FIB/SEM cross sections as well as top-down SEM imaging.

• A.S. in Engineering Technology, Material Science or related field preferred.
• Highschool diploma with 3+ years of experience in a similar job function, minimum.
• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of SEM, EDX, FIB and AFM tools, preferred.
• Ability to multi-task on various projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
