Location - Sylmar, CA (onsite)

Understanding of schematics and how the components of a circuit function. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. Knowledge of the common failure modes of electronic components and assemblies. Ability to design, build, and assemble prototype circuits for test fixtures. Document quality issues and performance measures for management review. May liaise with external vendors."

Job title - Hardware Failure Analysis Engineer

Location - San Jose, CA (onsite)

Key Skills:

1. HW Debug and Test Engineer
2. Bring up boards and systems (power, control path, data path) and test using diagnostic software.
3. Troubleshoot failing boards and arrive at root cause
4. Work with HW Engineer to come up with proper corrective action.
5. Prepare root cause analysis documentation
6. Follow established bug filing and FA process.

Skills required:

1. Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred but not a must
2. 5+ years’ experience in PCB level and electronic hardware trouble shooting
3. Knowledge of any one of hardware products (routers, switches, servers, storage, desk top CPU, laptop, power or test equipment etc.)
4. Experience with lab bring up and debug.
5. Experience with board tools such as Allegro, Altium etc.
6. Good communications skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
