
The Department of "Information and Security Systems" at the "Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología - UTEC", Lima, Peru, invites applications for a full-time faculty faculty position (teaching and research) in Cybersecurity
Once hired, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate level, to obtain competitive external funding, to establish an effervescent cross-disciplinary research program, and to contribute through service to the profession, to the department, and to UTEC. Applicants having a good scholarly work are encouraged to apply.
Minimum requirements:
Ph.D. or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge in Cybersecurity topics: Ethical Hacking, Network Security, Cryptography, Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis or incident response.
Industry certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ (preferred but not required).
Have supported cybersecurity competitions like CTFs or hackathons (preferred but not required).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience teaching classes
Grant proposal writing experience
Proven track record of scholarly publications
Demonstrated interest in working with academic and/or community partners.
