Job Description

The Department of Physics at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) invites applications for a full-time faculty position involving both teaching and research in the field of Physics.

We are looking for a professional passionate about science and education, eager to contribute to the growth and strengthening of a developing academic program. The research professor will be part of an academic team dedicated to advancing research lines, developing experimental infrastructure, and training the next generation of physicists with a strong focus on applied and experimental physics.

Academic, Professional, and Research Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Physics (or equivalent).
• Relevant scientific output, including indexed publications, conference participation, and research collaborations.
• Postdoctoral experience is desirable.
• University-level teaching experience or mentoring of young researchers is a plus.

Profile 1:

• Specialization in Nuclear Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, or Atomic and Molecular Physics.
• Proven track record in Experimental Physics, with active participation in nationally or internationally recognized research projects.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a research laboratory within the institution.

Profile 2:

• Specialization in Particle Physics.
• Proven research experience in the LHCb experiment and in the field of Heavy Hadron Physics.
