Job Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester is seeking a candidate for a Senior Associate Consultant Faculty position to advance digital health sciences aligning with institutional and departmental priorities on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital strategy in healthcare. Successful candidates will advance data science and informatics in clinical and translational research, healthcare transformation, and precision medicine through methodology advancement and/or team science collaboration.

In alignment with enterprise strategy in artificial intelligence and digital strategy, the Department of Radiation Oncology is actively pursuing opportunities that technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence bring to the digital heath arena. The candidate will lead the creation and maintenance of an integrated data platform within Radiation Oncology that can interface with institutional IT infrastructure. The candidate will be a key contributor to many Radiation Oncology specific AI projects, and will also liaison with other colleagues across the institution to share learnings and leverage best practices.

Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in their respective disciplines (e.g., data science, computer science, statistics, informatics, social science, cognitive science, or engineering) with strong interests in advancing data science and informatics as applied to biomedicine and healthcare.

M.D. or Ph.D. in scientific field with special emphasis on data science, computer science and programming skills.
