Job Description

The Department of Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking nominations and applications for a faculty position in Cutaneous Oncology, with interest and expertise in solid tumor cutaneous malignancies. This appointment will be in the Clinician Educator line at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor level. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Clinician Educator line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Qualifications

The applicant should have a strong interest and a productive background in continuing to develop and grow an existing strong and vibrant Cutaneous Oncology Program, especially in the areas of melanoma/atypical melanocytic neoplasms, high-risk squamous cell carcinoma (including transplant patients and those with epidermolysis bullosa), advanced basal cell carcinoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and rarer cutanous malignancies. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to synergize with multidisciplinary specialists within the Stanford Cancer Center, including medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists in Head & Neck and Melanoma, advance practice professionals, and other cancer care providers, with whom they will closely work. Candidates must be board certified or in the examination process.
