
We invite outstanding individuals to apply for a faculty position in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
The Department fosters a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary research and education/training environment. Our faculty possess research expertise in cardiac, neuronal, vascular, and renal physiology, as well as structural biology, cell signaling, and molecular biophysics. We are particularly interested in candidates who can strengthen and build on our current research focus areas in cellular organelle pathophysiology, metabolism, and/or structural biology as applied to studying the molecular basis of human diseases such as cardiovascular/circulatory diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. Other topics of research in broadly defined areas of cell physiology and molecular biophysics will also be considered.
Applicants for a position as Assistant Professor should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, 3-5 years postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of scholarly activity. The salary range for an Assistant Professor will be $110,000 to $125,000
Competitive candidates for Associate Professor should have an established research program and a strong publication and funding record. The salary range for an Associate Professor will be $140,000 to $155,000.
Competitive candidates for Professor should be recognized leaders in their field with an outstanding scholarly record and international reputation. The salary range for a Professor will be $160,000 to $180,000
