
The Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) teacher is a spiritually grounded, mission-aligned educator who understands and embraces the philosophy of Christian education. Candidates must be born-again believers who demonstrate spiritual maturity, academic excellence, and leadership qualities that enable them to teach God’s truth with clarity and conviction. A CAK teacher models Christlike character, communicates effectively with a wide range of people, handles confidential information with discretion, and maintains a consistently courteous, professional, and respectful demeanor.
Candidates should possess strong content knowledge, effective instructional strategies, and well-developed organizational and communication skills. They should also be familiar with current research on learning and the brain, and be able to apply that understanding to create engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom experiences.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be equipped to teach a foundational integrated science curriculum, including the Scientific Method, Ecosystems, and Energy. The program is intentionally lab-centered, designed to build strong skills in laboratory setup, experimental design, and scientific inquiry. Candidates must demonstrate experience with lab safety and hands-on instructional practices.
