As a Faculty Behavioral Coordinator, you will teach behavioral health topics in both the clinical setting and weekly didactics.In this role, you will collaborate with the Center for Family Medicine, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.Clinically, you will conduct psychosocial assessment interviews with patients and families toidentifyproblems requiring social work interventions and treatment plans forappropriate services These interventions include environmental needs, family or interpersonal conflict, grief issues, financialconcernsand coping with physical and/or mental issues.The Faculty Behavioral Coordinator is a vital member of the health care team and interfaces daily with the providers tofacilitatetransitions of care.
Cleveland Clinicprovidesnumerousprofessional development opportunities. In the Center for Family Medicine (CFM), caregivers may join committees like population health or the belonging team, and this role specificallyparticipatesonthe workplace violence team.
A caregiver in this position worksdays from 8:00AM – 4:30PMor 8:30AM – 5:00PM
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Coordinate andorganizeFamily Medicine Residency Behavioral Science Education, including rotational activities and conference presentations.
Provide clinical teaching through precepting, consultation, co-assessmentand co-counseling with residents/attendings and their patients.
Participate in the recruitment process for new residents and faculty.
Provide clinicalcounseling,familyassessmentsand therapy to patients.
Coordinate mental health referrals/crisis management for Center for Family Medicine patients.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
PhD in Clinical/Counseling Psychology OR a PsyD OR aMaster's Degree in Social Work
Documented formal training and experience in family systems
History of professional practice as a licensed independent counselor, socialworkor PhD
Knowledge of the DSM IV R classification system
Licensed in the State of Ohio to provide independent clinical counseling
Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong presentation,communicationand training skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite,Internetand electronic medical records
Family Therapy and academic setting experience
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
May require frequent sitting, standing and walking to various locations to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
Occasionally may be required to lift items up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
