
ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC) and the Division for Advancing Teacher Preparation invites applications to establish a pool for Faculty Associates in the Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, and Special Education Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. Successful candidates will teach online courses that are either field-based (such as internship, student teaching, or apprentice teaching) or content-focused, depending on program needs. The Division of Advancing Educator Preparation program welcomes applications from candidates who align with ASU’s charter and are committed to inclusive excellence and student success. The successful candidate will also advance ASU’s Design Aspirations through teaching and service.

Faculty Associate positions are one semester (7.5 or 15 weeks), non-benefits-eligible, and fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Individuals hired as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits-eligible appointments at Arizona State University. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.
This recruitment is to establish a part-time hiring pool for temporary and semester appointments. Applications are considered for the current year only. Applicants who are not hired are encouraged to reapply for the next posting.
Essential Duties: This position serves as lead or co-instructor teaching alongside other instructors, regularly collaborates with the instructional team, maintains consistent communication with students, establishes supportive relationships through asynchronous and/or synchronous online conversations, evaluates student work, and assists students in mastering course content. Additional responsibilities may include online coaching teacher candidates in professional placements and providing feedback aligned to program performance indicators.
