
The Faculty Affairs Specialist is responsible for the administration and coordination of key faculty lifecycle processes, ensuring, accuracy, compliance, and consistency across contracts, compensation, performance evaluations, and reporting. This role serves as a central liaison between Faculty Affairs, Human Resources, academic leadership, and other institutional partners to support faculty-related operations and initiatives. The Specialist applies strong analytical and organizational skills to manage data integrity, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the role contributes to strategic projects, policy implementation, and continuous process improvement within Faculty Affairs.
Responsibilities Include:
• Administers and ensures accuracy and compliance of faculty lifecycle
processes, including full-time and adjunct contracts, compensation, position
requests, and ACT 76 data reporting, in alignment with institutional policies
and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees and supports faculty performance management processes,
including annual reviews, while ensuring completion, compliance, and
alignment with university standards.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes faculty data, producing reports and
dashboards to support leadership decision making, audits, and strategic
initiatives while ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Faculty Affairs leadership, deans, Human
Resources, Contracts, and Faculty Records to streamline workflows, support
faculty satisfaction initiatives, and improve operational processes.
• Supports faculty-related programs and initiatives, including onboarding (New
Faculty Orientation), recognition events, process improvements, and special
projects as assigned.

Experience Required:
• 3 years related experience in an academic environment or similar Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities,
complex situations, and tight deadlines.
• Exercises judgment in organizing, analyzing, and sharing information with the
Leadership Team and appropriate offices.
• Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications and strong
organizational and project management suited to a work environment that
requires collegiality.
• Strong computer skills, including database and/or spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to work with sensitive/confidential materials using tact and discretion.
• Ability to influence people outside of the direct line of authority for positive
outcomes.
