CWI is seeking an engaging and student-focused Adjunct Instructor to teach Linux and related IT courses in classroom, online, and technology-enhanced learning environments. Instructors play a key role in supporting student success through innovative teaching methods, inclusive instruction, and meaningful assessment and feedback. Courses may include evening, weekend, or off-site instruction as needed. Faculty are encouraged to stay current in their field, participate in professional development, and contribute their expertise to advancing student achievement and workforce readiness.

Maintain Instructional Excellence and Industry Relevance
Support Departmental and College Operations
Minimum Qualifications:
• Preferred 3 years of industry experience acquired by full-time, successful employment in the applicable field. Teaching experience, especially at the community college level preferred, but not required. CWI can develop the successful candidate as an Instructor.
• Must currently hold LPIC, CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent certifications or be able to acquire such before beginning instruction.
• Preferred CISCO CCNA or better and have experience with one of the following: MCP, A+, Net+, Server+.
• Must be willing to obtain CISCO instructor certification.
• Industry affiliations preferred.
Additional Instructions for Applicants:
*Successful candidates are required to reside in Idaho by the first day of work for College of Western Idaho.
**This course is taught in-person utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System.
