Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Factory Operations Manager. This is a Full-Time role working onsite, M-F at our manufacturing plant in El Paso, TX. Relocation benefits and sponsorship assistance are available!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:


The Factory Operations Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability for multiple manufacturing value streams within the plant. This role is responsible for ensuring all products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within quality standards, and at target cost. The Factory Operations Manager leads and develops Value Stream Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence while supporting business growth, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement objectives. The Factory Operations Manager acts as the liaison between the production floor and the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop Value Stream Managers to ensure alignment with plant objectives and consistent execution of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost targets.
• Provide overall operational leadership for multiple manufacturing value streams, ensuring products are produced and shipped on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a safety-first culture by driving MESH initiatives, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and promoting a Zero Incident Culture throughout the facility.
• Establish and monitor plant-wide operational performance metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and financial performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Drive operational excellence through the deployment of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), Eaton Business System (EBS), Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations through robust quality systems, problem-solving methodologies, and process controls.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, Sales, and Finance to optimize operational performance and support business objectives.
• Lead capacity planning, labor planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation activities to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies that support plant growth, productivity improvements, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning through leadership development, succession planning, employee coaching, and performance management.
• Sponsor and lead plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery performance, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment between value streams and plant leadership to proactively identify risks, resolve constraints, and drive business results.
• Support strategic planning, capital investment initiatives, new product introductions, and operational readiness activities to meet future business needs.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple production areas, value streams, or manufacturing operations through subordinate leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, safety programs, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, productivity initiatives, labor planning, and cost reduction programs.
  • Proven ability to analyze operational data, establish performance metrics, and drive business results through accountability and execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and change management capabilities.
  • Experience leading multi-product, make-to-order, high-mix/low-volume, or complex manufacturing operations.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, capacity expansion projects, and plant transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading site-wide operational improvement and cultural change initiatives.

This role serves as the primary operational leader for the factory and is ultimately accountable for the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all manufacturing activities across multiple product lines and value streams.

Leadership Scope:
