Job Title: Factory Manager

Industry: Jewelry

Division and Dept Factory: Central Office, Selangor, Malaysia

Directly Supervises: Senior Manager, Supply Chain

Position Type: Managerial

The factory Manager is directly responsible for the management of the factory. To oversee the daily administration of the factory and establish as well as accomplish production objectives.

Objectives, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper planning on production control and coordination

• To implement and control the order tracking system to ensure the delivery due date

• To identify, plan, develop and organize up-to-date skill training for production staff

• To monitor, improve and implement quality control in the production

• Schedule inspection and maintenance of machinery and equipment

• Collaborate and communicate with managers from other departments to ensure the seamless functioning of operations

• To monitor and control the custody of inventory at the factory

• Resolve production and quality problems

• Compile and study daily production reports for appropriate action or monitor progress

• Prepare monthly production reports

• Promote security, safety, cleanliness and tidiness in the working environment

• Implement effective production files and efficient document retrieval

• Responsible for department budget on a yearly basis

• Review progress and identify training for recruits, slow performers and senior staff

• Evaluate and appraise employees' performance

• To be part of the management team player

• Determine subordinates' responsibilities and job functions

• Grant or deny leave and claims submitted by subordinates

• Conduct Human Resource Appraisal and enforcement of employment regulations and disciplinary matters
