The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Factory ITM Manager to join our Transformers team in Sharkia, Cairo. In this role, you will Implement the ITM strategy at the factory level by developing and executing a factory CI roadmap. Lead CI projects, ensure compliance with governance standards, and drive performance management. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, coach employees on Lean and Lean Six Sigma (L6S) methods and manage the factory ITM team to deliver measurable business impact across the extended Factory Value Chain.

How you’ll make an impact

ITM strategy and roadmap: Implement the BU and HUB ITM strategy at the factory level by developing and executing a factory-specific CI roadmap. Partner with the cross functional leadership team in developing and operationalizing the Strategy Deployment process and Operations Center/Obeya approach. Facilitate development of breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPI’s (Bowlers) and leads in development of improvement funnel. Lead in operationalizing Strategy Deployment, ensuring e ective Factory Standard Work and a connected Daily Management system.

CI projects and programs:Create, manage and facilitate the development of Cost-out and productivity projects across the business to achieve targets. Facilitate and train team members in utilization of RELEX reporting of Improvement projects. Ensure e ective sustainment of results and support problem solving (Root Cause Countermeasure, A3) as needed to close gaps to targets. Lead in the execution of impactful Cost Take-out improvement projects (kaizens) for the Factory.

ITM framework and compliance Ensure compliance with ITM governance standards and internal controls within the factory. Facilitate the integration of the HSE and Quality Management system into the ITM system for the organization. Conduct maturity assessments, monitor adherence to processes, and implement corrective actions to maintain consistency and operational discipline.

Customer focus / Voice of the customer: Ensure the Voice of the Customer is integrated into factory improvement initiatives and problem statements. Support structured problem-solving to address CI and operational issues, ensuring customer expectations are met.

Performance Management: Drive optimization of KPIs around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost. Lead and facilitate Cost-out projects and Kaizens for the organization and partner with the extended cross-functional organization on overall use of ITM tools to drive improvements. Own the overall management of RELEX KPI’s and Improvement Projects for the Factory, including driving employee ownership and involvement.

CI Cultural: Change agent and champion of a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination across the organization using ITM lean methods, processes, and tools, such as 5S, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Practical Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance, etc. Build a Coaching culture across the organization with focus on Employee Engagement and Accountability. Combine technical knowledge with people and organizational skills to deliver organizational maturity and KPI improvements. Lead all activities in the organization to implement the ITM system and drive improved maturity assessment process to advance the organization through the ITM phases of deployment. Saving and benefits analysis ROI: Calculate and report savings and benefits from factory CI projects and Kaizen events. Track execution and achievements to ensure transparency and alignment with targets. Develop financial acumen to ensure priority actions are focused on driving the right improvements in the organization, impacting the bottom line and tied to Strategy Deployment.

CI Training: Build continuous improvement capability through training and implementation of ITM and L6S methodologies. Be the expert on the ITM system, with focus on training and coaching others to build capabilities on the tools and methods to drive process transformation. Translate if necessary and train in local languages the ITM body of knowledge and selected L6S content.

People Leadership and development: Lead and develop the factory ITM team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management. Foster collaboration and accountability to ensure consistent application of ITM practices.

Your Background
Degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Operational Excellence roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
BB-level expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong leadership and coaching skills to manage teams and develop CI capability.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for KPI tracking, ROI analysis, and root cause resolution.
Effective communication and facilitation skills to lead workshops and engage stakeholders
