Job Description

Facility Technician

We are looking for a new team member to join our Facility team!

As a Facility Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will range from monitoring building systems to proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and recommend improvements to increase energy efficiency.
  • Perform general building repairs, including painting, carpentry, and drywall maintenance.
  • Act as the key point of contact during emergencies such as power outages, alarms, or equipment failures, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure that facilities and contracted services comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
  • Generate reports on facility status, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise work carried out by external vendors and contractors.
  • Implement environmentally friendly practices and waste management procedures.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, hands-on, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. You are comfortable taking initiative, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and responding effectively when unexpected challenges arise.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in facility or property maintenance.
  • Valid B driver's license.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
  • Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment.

Meritorious:

  • Licenses for forklift, lifts (scissor and boom lifts), and wheel loaders.
  • Hot Work certification.
  • Fall protection training.

Availability:

  • Start date as soon as possible or according to agreement.
  • Full-time position.
  • Standard working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Overtime may occur when required.
