Facility Support: Full-Time

Department: Environmental Services

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Chelsea, MI

Reporting To: Joshua Kephart

Compensation: $16.97 - $20.69 / hour

Schedule Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Monday-Friday, 12pm-8:30pm | Weekend Rotation: One weekend every three weeks
Shift Premiums: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00

What You'll Do:
As a Facility Support Personnel at our senior living community, you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents feel at home. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the facility, grounds, and equipment to ensure everything operates safely, smoothly, and efficiently. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual who can work independently, adapt to changing needs, and bring a strong sense of integrity to their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Ensure the facility equipment is working properly.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorizes carpets.
  • Cleans dining rooms and common areas.
  • Clean restrooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with department procedures.
  • Assist in cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Support Manager.
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing and restocking cleaning supplies.
  • Complete work orders timely through an electronic portal system.
  • Assist with room moves including furniture, clothing, and other personal items.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 1 year of experience in custodial work, required.
  • Valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license, required.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance work, preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED
