Join our organization as a Facilities Specialist I and contribute to maintaining and optimizing our facilities. You'll ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure while supporting our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this position, you'll manage building systems, coordinate with vendors, oversee maintenance activities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
In this dynamic role, you will:
Be integral to thefacility managementin our state-of-the- art manufacturing facility
Support andoperatethe maintenance planningfor thefield devices and utilityequipment used for themanufacturing of biological products
Our Capture Select ligands are single- chain antibody fragments, produced through a sophisticated process involving:
Upstream fermentation in yeast
Primary recovery using micro-filtration (MF) and ultra- filtration (UF)
Purification via ion-exchange (IEX) chromatography
These ligands are essential for our customers in the research, development, and manufacturing of groundbreaking biopharmaceuticals. From novel antibody and gene therapies to recombinant proteins, our products contribute to the treatment of life-threatening diseases.
Responsibilities
Execute minor electrical maintenance activities within the scope of NEN 3140 VOP authorization.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence culture through self-detecting and self-correcting processes, systems and instilling strong ownership & accountability
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance ofutilitysystems, including HVAC,electrical distribution,compressed air,water treatment systems,steam, chilled water,lighting, fire safety systems, andotherutilities.
Collaborate with cross functionalteams to ensure seamless completion of tasks
Respond to facility-related equipment failures and emergencies, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers, including support outside of standard working hours
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
Specify and implement modifications to improve operational performance,efficiencyand compliance
Collaborate closely with theproduction teamat the Naarden site to achieve or surpass the critical metrics.
Assistwith facility improvement projects and energy-saving initiatives.Support installation, relocation, and commissioning of facility equipment.
Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders using the CMMS.Review maintenance records andidentifyrecurring issues.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)policiesand local regulations.
Qualifications
MBO Level 4 (or equivalent) in Facilities Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ora relatedtechnical discipline.
3-5years ofhands-onexperience infacilities maintenance or technical building operations.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Basic understandingofworkingunderISO9001 or cGMPquality system
Experience with SCADAorPLCwould be a plus
Experience withCMMSoranymaintenance management softwarewould be a plus
Ease of working with Microsoft Windows, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of building automation systems (BMS).
Additionalcertifications such as VCA Basic, BHV, or NEN 3140 VOP are an advantage.Attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform maintenance activities for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills in English, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Flexibility to accommodate tochanging priorities and deadlines
Working Conditions
Day shift with occasional after-hours or weekend support.
Monitor factory processes and control, both on- siteand remotely, including outside standard working hours.
Use ofappropriate PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE).
