The Facility Security Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all security operations at the site are conducted in full compliance with applicable Aviation Security regulations, local laws, and company security standards. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational integrity, monitoring screening processes, and ensuring that all security procedures are correctly implemented and consistently followed.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Aviation Security regulations, applicable laws, and internal security procedures
Oversee the daily operational quality of screening activities within the facility
Monitor and enforce chain of custody procedures
Maintain accurate and complete compliance documentation
Conduct regular self-assessments to ensure adherence to security standards
Supervise and coordinate a team of 8–12 external security guards
Provide clear direction and ensure effective communication with external personnel
Support continuous improvement of site security operations
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in Aviation Security, facility/security coordination, or similar security-related roles
Previous experience in a similar role or within the same sector
Strong understanding of security operations in an aviation or regulated environment
Knowledge of Aviation Security procedures, systems, and equipment currently in use
Completion of internal training courses, refresher programs, or specialized certifications in Aviation Security
Fluent in English and Italian (both required and assessed during the interview)
Experience working with external contractors or security personnel is an advantage
Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and operational discipline
Strong leadership and coordination skills
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to work in a structured and highly regulated environment
