FACILITY OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBER - Emerald Acres Sports Connection

REPORTS TO: FACILITY MAINTENANCE MANAGER

STATUS: PART-TIME

The Janitorial Team Member will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the facility's building and grounds. Position will be geared toward working in various areas throughout the facility, while providing participants, members and/or guests an excellent experience while adhering to our Guest First Policy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Monitor overall appearance and cleanliness of the complex, both indoors and outdoors
  • Maintain courts, fields, office spaces, equipment, and facility assets as required
  • Perform routine cleaning of floors, windows, glass surfaces, guest areas, and common spaces.
  • Inventory, organize, and stock supply closets, toolboxes, and maintenance areas
  • Clean, restock, and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and guest amenities
  • Clean all guest seating areas, lobbies, and entrances
  • Remove facility trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and facility conversions as needed
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work with managers and vendors as directed
  • Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep tasks
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and assist with directions, questions, and facility information
  • Maintain general knowledge of facility programs, leagues, events, and amenities
  • Respond to guest concerns and direct issues to the appropriate manager for resolution
  • Support other departments, including events, guest services, and operations, as needed
  • Uphold facility policies, procedures, and safety standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Can work well with a wide variety of age groups
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow Team Members
  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
  • Commitment to the safety and well-being of others
  • Have sports experience or an interest to learn

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
  • Facility has intermittent noise
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Must be able to walk intermittently
  • Must be able to successfully complete our Utility Vehicle training program
