Facility Operations Manager

Food and Drug Administration Office of Inspections and Investigations

Position: Full-Time / On-Site (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time)

  • Location: FDA District Office and Laboratory, 1 Denver Federal Ctr, Denver, CO 80225
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Caladwich is seeking a highly motivated, service-oriented Facility Operations Manager to support Food and Drug Administration (FDA) facility operations at the Denver District Office and Laboratory in Lakewood, Colorado. This on-site role coordinates daily facility and administrative services, including mail, property and fleet accountability, access control, vendor support, parking, meeting logistics, safety, and emergency preparedness.

This position offers the opportunity to help maintain a safe, secure, organized, and fully functioning FDA workplace. The Facility Operations Manager will oversee responsive service delivery, accurate administrative records, compliance activities, and staffing continuity so facility operations remain uninterrupted.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee day-to-day facility operations, administrative support, maintenance coordination, and compliance activities at the assigned FDA location.

· Coordinate typing, filing, scanning, document organization, and incoming and outgoing mail operations, including tracking through delivery or upload into FDA systems.

· Support HHS identification badges, PIV cards, fingerprinting, credentialing, and timely completion of related processing activities.

· Collect, validate, and enter property, facility, and administrative data in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and FDA Government databases.

· Coordinate access for vendors and maintenance contractors, provide escorts when required, and support facility service activities.

· Track Government vehicle usage, maintain mileage logs, monitor fleet accountability and utilization, and prepare monthly fleet management reports.

· Maintain facility key, access-card, and credential inventories and promptly report lost or compromised items in accordance with security procedures.

· Coordinate parking assignments, access controls, signage, stakeholder communications, and timely resolution of parking issues.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

· Support safety programs, inspections, emergency preparedness planning, and the review, update, and testing of emergency procedures.

· Schedule conference rooms and coordinate onsite and virtual meeting logistics, ensuring spaces and equipment are ready before scheduled start times.

· Respond to facility service inquiries within one business day and monitor requests through resolution.

· Support weekly facility activity reports, monthly progress reports, safety documentation, administrative tracking, credentialing records, and quality-control reporting.

· Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready facility, property, fleet, access, and administrative records.

· Plan for absences and vacancies and coordinate coverage to minimize interruptions to required facility services.

· Protect Government information, property, equipment, keys, credentials, and physical access in accordance with FDA and HHS requirements.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Logistics, Information Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of three years of relevant experience in facility operations, administrative services, logistics, or a related support environment.

· Experience supporting facility operations and Government property accountability.

· Knowledge of inventory control and property management systems and practices.

· Ability to oversee facility services, maintenance coordination, vendors, administrative workflows, and compliance activities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and database-based recordkeeping and reporting.

· Strong organizational, customer-service, written communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Valid Class C driver license.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· Must successfully complete applicable FDA background investigations and meet HHS and FDA personnel security requirements.

· Must obtain and maintain FDA credentials and PIV access.

· Must comply with physical security procedures and protect Government information, property, and equipment.

· Must be available to work on site Monday through Friday during established local operating hours, excluding Federal holidays unless otherwise directed.

· Must be able to support service continuity and respond to operational needs within the performance standards established by FDA.
