Development, coordination, and management of the regional preventive and predictive maintenance and operations programs. Applying the corporate maintenance and operations programs to the regions' facilities. Regional facility inventory control programs and systems to ensure accurate and timely information on facilities, key equipment, and critical parts. Support accurate space planning along with office moves/add's and changes. Assist Facility Supervisors in understanding maintenance and operations programs. Management of medium to large construction and remodel projects.

What you'll do:

Essential Job Functions and Tasks:

  • Assist Manager and Supervisors in the operations of the preventive and predictive maintenance programs and in tracking capital and O&M budgets.

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage the regional preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Coordinate with the Corporate Facility Engineer in the development and implementation of corporate maintenance and operations programs.

  • Review energy management information and coordinates appropriate responses and actions with Facility Supervisors.

  • Assist and provide training to Facility Supervisors and Building Mechanics on maintenance and operations programs.

  • Ensure preventative maintenance procedures are completed in an effective manner through field inspections and oversight.

  • Supervise medium to large capital and O&M projects including building construction and major building remodel.

  • Provide expertise on AEP asbestos, lead, and other environmental and safety policies for application in project management and for training of other team members.

  • Develop and maintain correct building drawings, equipment records, and project documentation.

What we're looking for:

Education requirements are listed below:

Associate's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities, Business, or related field plus two years' experience in facilities operation/maintenance. Or equivalent experience as listed below.

Work Experience requirement listed below: Five years' experience in facilities operation/maintenance duties.

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:

Valid State Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

  • Physical demand level is Sedentary

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Basic Understanding of Electricity and/or HVAC systems.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required by job responsibilities and travel (overnight) as necessary.

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of computer applications used in a Windows environment including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Working knowledge of applications in Lotus Notes and AutoCad Drafting, preferred.

  • Must be able to see information on computer screen and use computer keyboard.

  • Must be able to hear spoken words via telephone, cell phone or during individual or group meetings.

  • Must be physically capable of performing all the essential physical functions of the position.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
