What you´ll do

  • Troubleshoot, analyze and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of plant, facility utilities, electrical and mechanical equipment, utilizing contractors and outside services when necessary
  • Assist in the development of a Preventative Maintenance (PM) system for all maintenance shop equipment,
    establish and perform PMs on a regular schedule, document findings, order parts and make repairs as needed
  • Develop skills in machining, alignment, welding, electrical, pipefitting, facility and preventative as well as
    predictive maintenance, with the ability to train others in at least two or more of these areas
  • Maintain all facility systems and utilities including boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, sprinklers, gas piping, chillers, process water, HVAC, pest control, janitorial, alarm, sanitary and storm sewer systems, landscaping, snow removal, dock doors and levelers
  • Coordinate project work that supports both facility and production system improvements
  • Perform work orders as assigned, communicate the status of mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance issues
    to affected team members and departments, and document any major problem areas to the Technical Services
    Manager or designee
  • Perform and document equipment calibrations on meters, transmitters, valves, pumps and scales
  • Make improvements to facility equipment and processes that will increase reliability
  • Operate all maintenance shop equipment as needed to support the facility and develop diagnostic skills related to the plant infrastructure and utilities
  • Participate in on-going training and development to learn new technologies and skills
  • Operate a forklift and/or scissor lift as needed

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Experience with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as basic welding and electrical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in current or previous roles
  • Demonstrated problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills; ability to resolve issues independently
    and understand when additional support is needed
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computer.
  • Demonstrated ability in the following administrative tasks: Ordering parts and supplies,
    acknowledging receipts and coordinating service contracts
  • Demonstrates ownership of team’s success
  • Acts as a role model and provides direct feedback to encourage appropriate work behaviors
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to share skills and knowledge with other team members
  • Demonstrated desire and capacity for continuous learning of new work methods and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team as both a member and leader
  • Current forklift certification and scissor lift training or ability to become certified/trained

The
hourly pay range for this role is $28.30. This range reflects the
good‑faith minimum and maximum hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to
offer for this position at the time of posting. This role is classified
as non‑exempt, and employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with
federal, state, and local laws. In addition to the hourly wage, employees in
this position may be eligible for shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or
other forms of compensation, depending on role and location. The Company also
offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation
will depend on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, training,
certifications, and work location. This job posting is intended to comply with
