Job Description

Equipment Operator

Location: Waynoka, OK
Shift: Monday – Friday | Evening Shift | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay: Starting at $19.49/hour

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including excavators and haul trucks while supporting daily waste handling operations at the Lone Mountain Facility. This position unloads waste from incoming trucks, performs equipment inspections, completes required documentation, and follows all company safety and environmental compliance procedures. This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment that requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate excavators, haul trucks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Unload waste from incoming trucks and support daily facility operations.
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and pre-operational checklists.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete all required paperwork for waste tracking and material movement.
  • Ensure containers are properly secured using chock blocks, jack stands, and other required safety measures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all Clean Harbors Health & Safety policies and environmental regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • 6+ months of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
  • Experience operating excavators and/or haul trucks preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned evening shift.

What Does It Take to Work at Clean Harbors? High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 1+ years of related work experience
  • Forklift experience preferred (not required)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
