Job Description

Job Title: Facility Custodian / Janitorial Position- Experience Required

Company/Location: Avtec Finishing / New Hope MN

Shift: 7a - 3p M-F + OT as scheduled

Wage: $26 /Hour + DOQ

Signing Bonus: $1500 (not available to current employees)

What You'll Do

As our Facility Custodian, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout our facility and grounds according to established daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and general cleaning
  • Sanitizing restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas
  • Maintaining exterior cleanliness around entrances and facility grounds
  • Emptying trash and recycling containers
  • Restocking restroom and facility supplies
  • Assisting with room setup and cleanup for meetings and company events
  • Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or repair needs
  • Properly handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Following all company safety procedures
  • Securing doors and designated areas as required
  • Performing additional custodial duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning experience
  • High school diploma or GED

Required Skills

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Workplace Expectations

This position is performed within a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and noise. Avtec Finishing maintains compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations and is committed to providing a safe workplace.

Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to success in this role.

Due to customer and security requirements, personal mobile devices must be secured during work hours and may only be accessed during authorized breaks in designated areas.
