Kamehameha Schools is looking for a Facility Attendant. This position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and safety of the facility and is part time weeknights and weekends.
Supports educational and community‑based activitiesandensureslearning spaces are prepared, accessible, and responsive tofacilityneeds. Provides logistical, administrative, and on‑site support to coordinators, instructors, and participants to ensure smooth program delivery and positive participant experiencesgrounded in community values and regional cultural awareness.Participates in required training, follows established policies, and supports operational readiness tomaintainsafe,well‑managedlearning environments.
Essential Responsibilities
Contributes to successful educational andcommunity‑basedactivities bymaintainingclean, organized, and professional environments and supporting positive participant experiences
Support the coordination of events, programs, and activities byassistingwith schedules, space usage,on‑siteoperations, adhering to policies and safety procedures
Prepares, reconfigures, and secureslearning and event spaces to support programs and activities, providing logistical coordinationin accordance withestablished facility use procedures
Participates in planning, training, and operational readiness activities in alignment with established procedures, practices, and safetystandards.
Providesgeneral clerical and administrativeassistance, including preparation and distribution of materials related to programs or activitiesas needed
Assistsallvisitors with professionalism, using regional historical and cultural knowledge to deliver welcoming, informative, and meaningful experiences
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for the requirements listed.
High school diploma orequivalent.
Minimum 2 years experience in a related field, such as customer service or visitor services
Excellent customer serviceand interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal andnon‑verbalcommunication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and appropriately with diverse visitors and staff
Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate verbally in English and Hawaiian.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Good working knowledge of KS operations, mission, goals and objectives.
Experience in working with general public.
Able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
Physical Requirements
Frequently sit, performdesk basedcomputer tasks and grasp light/fine manipulation.
Frequentlystand/walk, write by hand, and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
Frequently twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach/work about shoulder, grasp forcefully.
Working Conditions
Work is conducted in an office environment but the purpose of the work may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. but evening and weekend hours may be required to meet goals and objectives.
