Prairie Co-op is hiring a Full Time Facility Assistant in our Ag Department in Lipton, SK.

What you’ll do:

Main Duties include:

  • Assists in coordinating the receipt and storing of farm and chemical supplies within the facility.
  • Be familiar with all lines of merchandise within the department.
  • Operates and services equipment used in the movement of farm and chemical supplies in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Retrieves farm and chemical supplies from stock to fill customer orders.
  • Assists with deliveries and the co-ordination of shipment of product to customers.
  • Transportation in the form of piloting bins, transporting augers, and delivering hi-hog equipment.
  • Co-ordinates warehouse space with shipping and receiving. Maintains product condition by turning and Conducts regular inventory checks.
  • Keeps facilities and grounds clean and tidy, well maintained, and free of hazards.
  • Understand and abide by Prairie Co-op’s health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adherent to maintenance schedules for specialized equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who are you:

  • Must have a valid 1A Driver’s License or willing to obtain.
  • Must be willing to obtain forklift certification.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and participate in team lifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
